After a while, they both get rather tipsy, and the giraffe passes out on the floor.

The man, feeling guilty about the giraffe, gets up to leave and starts for the door.

The bartender stops him, saying,

“Hey, you can’t just leave that lyin’ there!”

The man replies,

“That’s not a lion; it’s a giraffe!”
